Breyers Waffle Cone Overload! is vanilla ice cream with caramel swirls and chunks of fudge covered waffle cone pieces. Breyers had me at caramel swirl. But I was still doubtful about whether the product would be as good as the packaging made it look. Often I have found that if you put too much stuff in the ice cream that it takes away something. On the other hand, there are a few ice cream versions that are delicious with huge chunks of stuff in it. Moose Tracks comes to mind.
So I brought home the Breyers Waffle Cone Overload! ice cream and couldn't wait to give it a try. But first, let me give you the nutrition facts on this ice cream...
One serving size is a 1/2 cup. There is 130 calories per serving, 3g of fat (0 trans fat), 5mg of cholesterol, 95mg total carbohydrates and 2g of protein per serving.
I scooped out 2 generous scoops (I was hopeful) and looked at the ice cream. It looked really good and it did not look like it needed anything such as syrup to go on top. I held up my spoon, gained a generous spoonful and dove into trying Breyers Waffle Cone Overload!.
The first bite was a tasty delight. Creamy vanilla ice cream melted on my tongue with hints of caramel flavor leaving behind a treat of chocolate covered waffle cone. And it tasted like a waffle cone! I was worried that the claimed waffle cone would be soggy or taste like cardboard. It was neither.
Breyers Fun Flavors Waffle Cone Overload! has become my new favorite ice cream. It gets 5 stars from this reviewer! I may actually try the other Breyers Fun Flavors now. If you like caramel, chocolate and waffle cone, definitely check out this ice cream. Other Breyers Fun Flavors include Brownie Mud Pie Overload!, Fried Ice Cream Overload!, Peanut Butter Tracks Overload! and Very Chocolate Cherry Overload!.
