I have to admit; with Terrell Owens now a Buffalo Bill, it has been and will be boring watching the Dallas sportscasters not having him around to give those interesting clips and quotes. He really made many Dallas Cowboys fans mad with his antics on and off the field. The thing is, I'm a dedicated, lifelong fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers (you remember them, last seasons Super Bowl winners). As a Steelers fan, I am always happy when Dallas Cowboys fans are mad, irritated, annoyed or whining. That usually means I'm happy year in and year out.
Now that I have taken my expected potshots at those easy targets, the Cowboys and their fans, I'm ready to move on to talk about winning football! Next to ice hockey, NFL football is my favorite sport to watch. Now, now, don't roll your eyes at ice hockey. If you haven't watched a live NHL game, you don't know what you're missing. I'll save my hockey article for later. As I was saying, watching NFL football is how I like to spend a lazy Sunday afternoon. During the season, when I wake up on Sunday, I don't even get out of my pajamas. Yes I have pajamas, with little Steelers slippers that are pretty darn adorable I think. So, if you want to spend time with me on a Sunday, during football season, here is what you should know:
1) You have to come to my house. I am in my pajamas and I'm not leaving.
2) If you plan on rooting against the Pittsburgh Steelers, don't bother coming over. In fact, you should read my article on Steelers fans so you know the level of my dedication, click here.
3) If you expect me to feed you or supply drinks, you better bring them with you just to be safe. In fact, don't come over without some Hoegaarden or Tecate, that's your ticket at the door.
4) My football watching room has a giant TV and Steelers memorabilia everywhere. Guys have their "Man Cave", I have my "Steelers Cave". Respect the cave.
5) I control the remote, and if I want to pause live TV, I will. If I don't want to, I won't. You don't get a vote. I am known to be nice when someone has to use the bathroom, but don't push your luck.
Really, that's all I ask, and as most of my friends and family know; my rules are not really set in stone. Except the one about not rooting against the Steelers, that is iron clad or should I say steel clad?
Football pre-season starts in early August, but those games don't count. The real season startsThursday, Sept.10. Appropriately enough, the defending Super Bowl Champion Pittsburgh Steelers will play the first game of the new season. Their opponent is a team that garnered the wrath of Steelers fans everywhere because some of their knucklehead players stepped on the 'Terrible Towel' last season. The Tennessee Titans are going down. Enjoy your football season, I know I will.

I myself, find it amusing to see the opposing teams fans squirm as the Steeler's ROCK THE FIELD! You know who I mean.
