Foothills Lodge and Cabins in South Fork, Colorado
The Foothills Lodge and Cabins has one and two bedroom lodge style cabins. They are located within walking distance to a restaurant, sports equipment rental, sports bar and gift shop. They offer ski and golf packages. In addition, horseback riding and sleigh ride discounts.
The lodge style and log cabins have WIFI, free long distance within the continental United States, data port, voicemail, and cable television with VCR. At the front desk, there is a library of videotapes that can be checked out free. Each cabin has a fully equipped kitchen for guests to prepare their own food. The living rooms of the Antelope, Bear, Coyote, Deer and Elk two bedroom cabins have fireplaces. The rest of the cabins do not.
There are several picnic areas that have charcoal and gas grills. In the redwood gazebo near the lodge, office there is a hot tub for guest to enjoy. If you want to bring your pet along there are pet designated cabins for this purpose. Pets must be on leashes when they are outside their cabin.
17 miles from Foothills Lodge and Cabins is one of Colorado's best ski areas, the Wolf Creek Ski Area. There is a variety of areas to cross-country ski, snow shoe or ride snowmobiles. You can bring your own snowmobile or take one of the guided snowmobile tours.
There is also hiking and mountain biking. The South Fork area near Foothills Lodge and cabins has trails for both beginners or experienced hikers or mountain bikers. The trails range from 1.5 miles to 5 miles. If you are looking for more of an adventure much longer, trails are available. The lodge office will be able to help you make plans perfect for you.
The Foothills Lodge and Cabins also can accommodate groups, family reunions, church retreats, corporate retreats, workshops, or other special events. They can accommodate up to one hundred people. The staff can assist you in planning your event and set up activities.
