Between you and Mom it's you.
Persevering even when we've failed.
You loved me no matter how you fussed and yelled.
I could hear it in your voice,
letting me have the choice,
to make mistakes and figure out on my own.
Trusting me with things,
I know I've messed up time and again.
But never losing faith in me or saying when,
praying that I'd see the light.
That even though I waged the battle,
cheering me on to win the fight.
In choosing the right thing to do,
I was blessed when as a Dad
God gave me you !
