For an Incredible Experience Dine at the Salish Lodge & Spa in Snoqualmie, WA

Since 1916 the Salish Lodge and Spa has been drawing customers to a breathtaking view and menu to celebrate special occasions. This year I wanted to have a special memory for my mom's birthday. I decided that the best gift I could give her was just a mother/daughter morning and day of shopping.

We started out at Salish at 8:15am for the special country breakfast. This Lodge favorite includes:

Coffee or Tea Service
Freshly Squeezed Juice & Seasonal Berry Parfait
Baker's Basket & Old Fashion Steel-Cut Oats

The Main Course
Three eggs with smoked bacon, pork-apple sausage and honey cured ham
herbed shoestring potatoes and a buttermilk biscuit

The experience takes about 2 hours to complete comfortably. That means that you need to wait and digest in between courses or they will need to roll you out on a gurney. Our view was absolutely incredible. We had a private dining area that overlooked the falls and the morning was clear and sunny and truly memorable. As we enjoyed our second course my mother said "you could take me here every year on my birthday and it would be perfect." Needless to say I think I will be. It's not only a gift for her but for me as well to have that personal and private time to thank her for all that she does for our family.

The service is spectacular at Salish Lodge. We had three to four people waiting on us at all times. The most incredible thing is that Salish accepts "Passport" (www.passportunlimited.com) and this removed $20.00 off our bill so it was almost like one of us ate for free. It actually makes an event like this not only affordable, but you're able to come more often and not break your pocket book.

Salish Lodge is not only a destination for breakfast. It's an overnight destination. They have incredible packages for spa treatments and outings such as their adventure packages. You can choose the Cascade Whitewater Package where you will join a trip guided by Seattle Raft and Kayak. You can also choose the Lakes to Lock Package. If you love the outdoors Salish has something for everyone.

Will I revisit Salish Lodge next year? Absolutely! But I might make it an overnight escape for mom and me and reserve the Purify & Rejuvenate Spring Spa Special. Two of their body therapies contain the Green Tea Detoxifying Wrap and the Green Tea Purifying Exfoliation. You can count on Salish Lodge to provide not only the experience, but back it up with incredible food and service to impress even the toughest critic.
