For the Love of Soy! Organic and Healthy Alternative-Soy Milk

Karla M. Davis
With a move toward green living, healthy lifestyles and Organic food, one particular drink cannot be ignored and that of course is Soy Milk! It's a great way to get the goodness of calcium without all of the hormones, pesticides and other nasty chemicals. Not just any Soy Milk will do though! Silk Soy milk is a wonderful creamy tasting soy milk that has really grown on me, and Starbucks too! This coffee purveyor has joined forces with the Soy Milk giant, Silk to provide an alternative to milk at all of its 15,000+ locations.

It's no wonder why Silk soymilk is getting so much attention as an Organic Food. They start with natural soy beans that provide the greatest nutritional benefit which are carefully ground, mixed with water and natural flavors to be turned into a very smooth, protein-rich milk. It's also lactose-free and cholesterol-free to boot! Great for those suffering from lactose intolerance. It is also calcium and vitamin enriched. They offer the creamiest and pleasant tasting soymilk of the many I've tried.

Their variety of flavors makes it a refreshing Organic drink day after day. They have everything from plain to vanilla, chocolate, which is a great alternative to kid's chocolate milk all the way to Mocha, Very Vanilla and even seasonal favorites like eggnog and pumpkin spice flavor!

At about $1.85 you can get one quart (946mL) of soy milk, they also offer larger sizes like the 1.89L and even 2 and 3-packs for those who consume more!

The Silk company itself deserves kudos for being and environmentally friendly-company. All purchases of silk help support organic farmers. They are also the world's largest user of US certified organic food grade soybeans! Every delicious glass of Silk is also powered by renewable wind energy that is clean for the air we breathe! It prevents several thousand tons of greenhouse gases from being emitted into the atmosphere.

This Organic Food company also provides recipes on their website from soup to dessert!
