For Paris Hilton, Money Can't Buy Everything

Randy Jones
Today Paris Hilton was brought to tears once again by a California Superior Judge after he over turned the local Sheriffs department in the premature release of Paris Hilton to her California mansion.

Superior Court Judge Michael T Sauer was obviously upset that Paris Hilton would be pulling her time with a ankle bracelet and all the luxuries of home. In the Judge's ruling that she serve 45 days she thought she had got off easy with a stay at home incarceration. Now that would have went through many in this country would definitely be playing the Paris card in future trials to come and I do not think that would be the trial a judge would want his name quoted in in future trials.

People of money and power should not have special treatment because of who they are or who their parents are. Drinking and driving is no respecter of persons when a life is taken so the courts should not be when someone is lucky enough to get caught before they hit and injure or kill someone.

Hollywood has really shown an unlawful side the last little while. One that is not projected on the big screen but rather across the headlines on the local and national news.

We should be thankful that the law enforcement did not show special treatment in the initial arrest from the start. Law enforcement gets a raw deal a lot of times because of people they pull over or arrest but I believe in this case Paris has made her own misdemeanor bed and she should sleep in it. She really is not that important anyway with the exception of a television reality show and some on line work which wasn't much any way except to show how spoiled she was and trying to portray the people she met as to be not as successful in life as the money her mom and dad have given to her. So wake up Paris your human and in that you suffer human circumstances and penalties. Why the mother of this heiress would be in tears because her daughter broke the law and now has to pay the price is unreal. She should be glad a Superior Court Judge did what the mother and father in this young life have not be able to do and that would be to show her she is not above every thing.

Spoiled little rich kid. Had to pay her dues, like a real adult. pauvre baby. As my bro used to say to me when I whined ,"my heart bleeds purple peanut butter for you." She is just lucky her stupidity didn't hurt someone.

Great article and I agree with you completely. If I was dumb enough to drink and drive I would be spending my time in jail just like others I know. Money should not be the driving factor with our law enforcement system. Regrettably such is the way in some courts rooms.

I feel sorry for Paris, but she needs to be held to the same standards as anyone else. I could care less who her parents are. It may have been cruel to tease her via an ankle bracelet at home (boo-hoo), yet Paris will remember this and not drive on a suspended license a 4th time via her DUI arrest. Her money and her name cannot save her everytime she sheds a few tears. Come on.

i'm not a big fan of paris hilton, but i do think it's horrible to let her out, then send her back for double the time. i think a lot of people are forgetting that she didn't just waltz out of jail on her own. the sheriff decided to let her out, and now, to prove a point, the judge has come back and sentenced her to the original amount that he'd previously shortened. way to make an example of how messed up the legal system is that the need to overcompensate on a high profile case is imperative to prove any sort of validity. the sheriff who let her out should have been held in contempt of court and charged as such. this time, paris actually didn't do anything wrong...someone let her out and she went. would any of us have done anything differently?

Great article! I am delighted and hope that this will teach her a valuable lesson that may save her life and the lives of others. A big BRAVO to the judge!
