The day of your birth,
Was the beginning of a gift,
In which we were graciously blessed.
Was the beginning of a gift,
In which we were graciously blessed.
You brought us together,
The fighting ended,
Love appeared, the first time in years.
Much time has passed,
The magic dissolved,
Our togetherness slowly drifted away.
Somehow you sensed,
We needed your love,
You found curious ways to keep us strong.
We held on tight,
Improving ourselves,
Never turned back, our hearts grew warm.
Now you are gone,
A journey ended,
But you taught us well, your love remains.

Post a Commentwow what a amazing poem this is really great!!!!!!!!!!!!
For whatever reason, this poem is definitely a lovely tribute to that person. :-)
Powerful, moving.
Lovely lines . . . on a child of blessing!
Hmmmm I dont want to speculate at all. Sounds bittersweet though :/
WOW! This rocks! Am I to guess this is about the birth of a child that helped two loving parents through a rocky relationship?
WOW! I really think this is amazing! That first stanza is powerful and this sounds like a lovely tribute to someone who may have passed on. I could be wrong on that, but that is what I thought. Great job on this as always, it is a pleasure of mine to read your art!
