For "The Real Housewives of Orange County," There's Got to Be a Morning After

Evictions, Classy Bitches and Shopping Trips

Watching tonight's episode, I wish I'd had a bottle or two of Bitch wine handy. Tonight saw "The Real Housewives of Orange County" dealing with some heavy issues, yet still, they managed to be at each other's throats.

We saw the aftermath of the eviction notice that Lynne and Frank were served last week - well actually that their daughters received since Lynne and Frank weren't home. Raquel gave the cameraman the finger and Alexa hid under a blanket. Lynne calls Franks to meet her at a local park and he can't get a word in edgewise as Lynne tears into him for lying to her. He manages to accuse her of being in her own world and that she "can't deal with reality." He admits he got in over his head and blames his wife for wanting to live in high-rent districts and they really need to start living within their means. Lynne really doesn't seem to be hearing what Frank is saying and finally they both storm off in opposite directions. Later, Lynne and her daughters stay with her mom while Frank goes to a hotel. Lynne seeks moral support from Tamra, who urges Lynne to stick it out, because divorce should be an absolute last resort.

Miss Vicki had her own crisis to deal with as her daughter, Brianna, revealed she has a neck full of tumors. In classic Miss Vicki fashion, she wanted to know when the next doctor's appointment would be so she could go with Brianna, except the date conflicted with 150 of her agents being in town. A disbelieving Brianna told Miss Vicki not to come. Say what you will about Miss Vicki, she is dedicated to her kids and in the end, made the right decision by going with Brianna to her biopsy.

Gretchen and Alexis meet up for dinner and Skinnygirl Margaritas and also to bitch about Miss Vicki. They also discuss an upcoming girl's getaway to San Francisco for a shopping trip. Well, with this crowd, that could actually be code for "bring your significant other." As it turns out, Jimbo's business commitments will keep him home, so unbelievably, Alexis is going to San Francisco by herself. I have to say, I about fell off the couch when he said he wasn't going. Of course he's "comfortable with the girls she's going with," so the trip gets the Jimbo seal of approval. Ramona from "The Real Housewives of New York City" would have a field day with Jimbo (she famously lost her stuffing when Alex brought Simon to a girls only dinner party). Alex and Simon lack social graces; I think Jimbo is just controlling.

All the Housewives hop a flight to San Francisco and Miss Vicki decided to invite Brianna to come along, one to take her daughter's mind off her situation and two, to stem any brewing drama. Miss Vicki and Tamra wind up sitting next to each other on the plane and talk about everything except what went down at Lynne's dinner party. Miss Vicki is still smarting that Tamra didn't have her back with Simon, but decided to go on the trip to make amends. Miss Vicki also makes it clear she has absolutely no affinity for Alexis, dubbing her self-centered. She was also surprised not to see Jimbo on the flight, but mused she wouldn't be surprised if he popped up later. Miss Vicki was in a name-calling mood tonight as she christened Jim "smelly dork."

Though Jimbo might not have been there in body, he was definitely there in spirit, as he and Alexis repeatedly called each other during dinner, drawing the ire of all the Housewives. While dining at

the five star Fleur de Lys, Alexis, the self-proclaimed picky eater, tries some of Gretchen's dish. She promptly and dramatically spit it out into her napkin, causing a round of almost-vomiting from the other Housewives. Miss Vicki thinks Alexis is "totally classless trash" and continues to wonder what her deal is. Lynne decides dinner at a classy restaurant is the perfect time to share her tale of woe with the other Housewives. She doesn't get a lot of sympathy though; they all pretty much tell her she needs to live within her means and not to blame Frank for the situation. Lynne feebly explains they have champagne tastes on a beer budget.

The Housewives end the night at the Bubble Lounge, where Brianna meets up with them. The night quickly became emotional as they all toasted Brianna. Gretchen loses it as she remembers going through cancer with her late fiancé, Jeff. If there was ever a time to break out the alcohol, that was it.

The next day was the shopping trip and the newly-evicted Lynne was able to rationalize dropping close to $2,000 on a leather jacket because she "just got paid." The other Housewives were a little taken aback at her freewheeling spending. Frank's right; Lynne does live in her own world.

You know it wouldn't be a Housewives outing without the claws coming out, and Alexis and Miss Vicki went for the jugular. Miss Vicki took business calls and texts during lunch and Alexis called her out for being a hypocrite. Miss Vicki's defense is that her calls are work-related and in Miss Vicki's world, work trumps husbands, girlfriends, even daughters (well, almost; she did do right by Brianna in the end).

Next week, Alexis and Miss Vicki take it outside, Tamra wants to spread her wings and Frank apologizes.
