Forbidden Fruit

A.M. Morgan
It feels so right

But it's definitely wrong

Its mere essence is a complete turn on

Not sure why but the body admires

What the mind knows is not very appropriate to like

It could be an aphrodisiac or something that could spoil an appetite

Sitting quietly it silently allures it prey

Take one look at it and it becomes harder to walk away

The power of persuasion makes this temptation appealing

And common sense is something that it enjoys stealing

My name is Adam and I bear an original sin on my sleeve

It's easy to blame Eve but it is a choice of free will to take the first bite

The rotten apple has caught my attention

And now this is my repentance to warn others of its misleading intentions

It often appears that you can have whatever you like

Because The Forbidden fruit is always within plain sight

But always remember that some things come with a small sacrifice and or price

'The rotten apple has caught my attention', for some reason this seemed powerful to me. It could mean many many things. Nice tight writing. There are no wasted words here. Very good. Thank you.
