Ford India Sees 35 Percent Growth in February

Despite the recession, many car manufacturers are experiencing good sales growth in India. This time it is Ford India which saw a sales growth of 35 percent in February 2009 at 2,636 cars against 1,956 units in January 2009. Along with this, the car manufacturer also registered 8 per cent growth in sales year-on-year.

From the midsize segment new Ford Ikon witnessing good sales and reliable bookings for across the country.

According to Timothy Tucker, (Vice-President, Ford India-Sales), "the company set the product strategy in 2008 with the launch of new versions of the Endeavour".

It is not just Ikon model that is appreciated, in 2009; the manufacturer also received good returns from Fiesta too. Adding further to his statement, Mr.Tucker said that the company is committed and is focusing on producing the products with best value for money that our customers.
