Ford Mustang for 2011 Offers Fuel Efficient V6 with Extra Ponies to Spare
2011 Ford Mustang Comes with a Hot New V6 Engine Which Has Both Power and Fuel Efficiency
History of performance
These cars have quite a long history as a high performance street machine with all the right things in all the right places. My step brother had a 1965 fastback when we were young and it was very fast and nimble even with the small block 289 cubic inch engine it had.
The Mustang has evolved over the last 45 years into quite a civilized and luxurious vehicle. With all the modern additions that we never would have imagined being in a car like this such as air conditioning!
Hot rod future
The future of hot rods and sports cars is changing as we speak into a kinder and gentler street machine. The newer Mustangs have such a smooth ride and give a very firm application of plentiful power and torque. These vehicles can be very deceiving when you first start driving one. They seem to be very civilized and yet once you mash the throttle you are rocketed forward at a neck snapping pace.
I believe that the real story here is that the 2011 Mustang is going to change the way some people think about performance and fuel economy! It is not for the penny pincher or the timid as it has a lot of Horse Power and is very fun to drive!
Power and efficiency
Once upon a time these two goals were mutually exclusive in any automobiles coming out of Detroit since you either had a fire breathing dragon on your hands or a sedate little matchbox car. But the 3.7 Liter V-6 Engine which will be in the 2011 Mustang will offer 304 horsepower and 280 foot pounds of torque at 4250 rpm. This is quite impressive since previous V-6 models have been a bit weak in terms of power.
Now we are going to be able to have the best of both worlds in a fine looking Mustang package. I saw a Supercharged Shelby Cobra Mustang at the 2010 auto show and if the 2011 can look half as cool as this beast of a hot rod then Ford will have it made when it comes time to take orders for these 2011 Mustangs!
Show stopper
I am certain that the 2011 Ford Mustang will be another show stopper! The custom treatment that the Mustang receives from an experienced team like Shelby is amazing and I have no doubt the engineers at Ford take notice when the consumer expresses their interest in these super boosted models! With the White paint and blue racing stripes this car was very appealing to the eye.
These potent street machines have always been a real joy to look at since their designers have been working hard to pay homage to their predecessors and the V-6 engine in the 2011 Mustangs will make this model an even greater value!
What will it cost me Mike?
Be prepared to plunk down a moderate amount of cash since a well equipped version of the 2011 Mustang could fetch thirty to thirty five thousand dollars, but a base model is still expected to be around $25K. Of course the price of this car is only part of the equation and if you stick with the efficient yet powerful V-6 engine then you truly will have the best of both worlds! Just think about how cool it will be to cruise along in a sweet ride like this burning up the asphalt and still get 30 mpg on the highway!
So I figure that if you can not have fun driving this kind of car around town then we need to go over again exactly what fun is and how it is to be had!

Post a CommentI just purchased one exactly a month ago. I'm VERY impressed. It is indeed very fun to drive and a smooth ride without sacrificing the sportiness. The other thing to note it that the stock exhaust (for those enthusiasts out there) sounds wonderful...I love it. I've often just left the radio off so that I can listen to her. Her acceleration is incredible (I just graduated from a 4 cylinder sedan). I'd love to talk and rave more about my V6 Mustang, give me a shout!
thanks! it is definitely going to be a milder and gentler mustang!
Glad to hear the mustang will have a smoother ride which is the reason I did not buy one earlier. Thanks. Excellent article.
