Forest Nymph Makeup Look

Go Green

I call this look 'Forest Nymph' because it utilizes colors that are prominent in nature, like greens and yellows. Although it's not spring, green should still be fairly prominent, unless you live in a place that's really dry and hot. Green is also a trendy color this year. Not to mention this look is easy to pull together.

Makeup that you'll need: For the eyes you'll need a light yellow shadow matte or shimmer is fine and a deep green shade. You'll also need a pencil eyeliner in brown and metallic yellow, or something light in color that's of your choosing. For blush it should be a pink shade; which ever pink shade best suits your coloring. Since it's mostly about the eyes I feel the lips shouldn't be overpowering, I would suggest going with a pinky nude shade like Rimmel's 'Airy Fairy.'

The next step before makeup application is to prep your face, which is whatever your normal routine is before applying makeup, i.e. moisturizer, concealer, primer, etc. I personally always use an SPF moisturizer just for the skin protection unless my makeup contains an SPF. Don't forget to prime your eyes, it's the key to really making your eye shadows go the distance.

The first step is to work on the eyes. Using a shadow brush, apply a light yellow shadow from your inner corner towards the middle, then apply a deep green shade from the outside towards the middle, and blend where the two colors meet. Take a fluffy shadow brush and blend along the edges to get rid of that harsh line. Now take that same deep green shade and apply it along the lower lash line with a pencil brush, starting from the outside and working in about three-fourths of the way. Take the light yellow shade and work it around your tear duct and the remaining part of the lower lash line. The few steps to completing the eyes is to apply brown eyeliner along the top lash line, smudging it slightly so the line isn't harsh looking. Then apply a light color eyeliner along your waterline. Finish it off with a few coats of mascara.

Usually after I'm done with my eyes I clean up any fallouts by other brushing it away gentle with a fan brush or using Scotch tape to pick up the mess. Now, to finish off this look sweep a pink blush long your cheekbones, apply a pinky nude lipstick and your done. A simple and easy look to pull together and wear.
