Use Your Web Site to Generate More Income

You've heard the testimonials proclaiming the income earned from Google's Adsense. The truth is, unless you have a massive amount of traffic to your website daily, Google Adsense probably will not even pay enough for your morning cup of coffee. Speaking from experience, I can honestly say that I was more than a bit disappointed when I came to this realization. As a stay-at-home mom, I look for any little thing to generate a little extra income. After a while it gets discouraging after you invest your efforts & time & find that it wasn't worth your while.

However, alas! There is a better way. If you have a website, & you've tried Google Adsense & others like it & found that it didn't work for you either...keep reading.

My favorite so far of affiliate marketing sites is called Clickbank. Their website is www.clickbank.com . You can choose what ad you want on your page based on a number of factors, including popularity & payout. The best part is, you can make residual off of monthly subscriptions if a user buys a product through the referral of your site. You can also make up to 75% of the total purchase price when a user buys something. Going through the lists of prospective ads for my page, I see payouts ranging from $5.00 up to $100.00.

Clickbank even provides the code to put on your site, all you have to do is copy & paste it, and voila you're ads are up & ready to go. The trick is to put the ads where visitors can see it, but not to make it intruding on their experience. Also, choose ads that target your specific visitors. For instance, if your site is about automotive products, choose an ad about automotive products as well, or something in a similar genre.

There is alot of potential in affiliate marketing. Of course, this won't make you rich over-night, but It's a start and a step ahead of what you were doing before. It can't hurt, try it for yourself & see if it works.
