Ancient mages believed the world was made of 4, 5 or some other number of basic magical energies. Scientists used logic and reason to determine that everything is made of particles. Late they discovered the particles are energy. In lay mens terms, energy is a crumple in space. The writhing crumple just cycles through it's given pattern over and over. The pattern of it's undulations give it the various particulate properties we see. Don't worry not all of this is mind numbing. So, since everything is made of these writhing closed energy loops, or crumpled space which never cease to interact, there is a massive amount of information passing to everywhere from everywhere. The information is passed through the mechanics of the particles interactions.
Just like a massive chaotic computer, the very fabric of existence calculates and processes. It could be said to think, but the nature of a universal thought is of a scope that no small piece of it, such as ourselves, could ever comprehend. We lack the mass to even pretend to think in such an alien fashion. We are a part of it though, as we are a part of our own world. the ground breathes and vibrates with information. The energy of the Earth is what we are made of. Everything affects everything. To sum it all in very simple terms, you think with every particle of your body. Your nervous system is the seat of human consciousness but your entire being is your connection to the universal thought. The "How Tos" promote ancient magic words and strange exotic reactive agents (reagents) as the source of magic. Some say it's all your mind and that belief alone is enough to blow up a star system. The common thread is this faith thing.
They all want you to have faith in something. Faith is the same as belief. I am not saying faith is bad, it is not. Faith is a useful tool in magick. For now though, forget the hows, start with the why and what. It works over the inseverable connection of existence. It works because it is the universe modifying itself as its pieces direct. We are part of a thinking universe and are tasked to function within it as a component. This doesn't mean our fate is decided. We have been differentiated by our brains and consciousness as members of the class of sentient beings. That includes all beings with consciousness. This gives us a degree of free will.
So what happens? The energy around us reflects what we process in the same fashion that we reflect our surroundings. I don't know too many people that could have a lovely brunch with the family in a foxhole full of bodies. Your surroundings tend to influence you. You too can influence your surroundings by adjusting your own vibration and pattern. It is simple stuff that does not require loads of equipment, reagents, spells, books or gods to help you. "What" you need is repetition. You have to get past the automatic censoring that was very wisely put in place by whatever forces or processes that engineered or created us. The censor on your mind is for the protection of your form and function. If every thought that flitted through your mind was instantly manifested or reflected we would be awash in a zone of feedback roar. Place a microphone up to a speaker that feeds off the Mic and listen to the scream and reverberating clacks and screeches it makes, it is really unpleasant.
It is with repetition of states of consciousness that we begin to reflect a pattern through our structure. The longer we maintain the state the farther the echo travels. Strong emotion can bypass the filter to a certain extent but the purest form of communication is done while calm and collected. Want an example? How about a thousand? A huge percentage of life altering discoveries throughout history was made at around the same times, respectively, by different people, sometimes at great distances and usually without collaboration. The light bulb, electricity, the radio, the automobile, the bow, the sling, fire, farming and the list goes on. The fevered excitement of the inventors was echoed throughout our local lattice of energy and those with a close enough frame of mind got an idea. Of the few who got the idea some had the desire to turn their lives away from where they were going and follow the idea. Of those that followed fewer still had the skills and resources to see the idea to fruition. Also the hours spent into serious contemplation and collected problem solving reflected and echoed the idea with clarity, spreading it farther through the "ether" so to speak.
You do not need a "How To". You need a why and what. Here it is again, why it works is because there is in fact nothing between us, because we are all of the same universal body. We communicate at a level that our consciousness barely gets a glimpse of. Our consciousness can in fact communicate in both directions with some difficulty and cause the energy lattice that is reality to bend and warp ever so slightly to conform with our own views. This is why religions claw after followers, this is why "convert, convert or kill" is the rule of the day. To believe is to hold a vision of reality. The more mass and minds that reflect a given view of reality the closer to actuality it becomes. The resistance of those that hold opposing views cancels out the other view in direct proportion to the beings mass and their ability to hold a coherent belief unwaveringly. This is why faith healing works, this is why magick works.
So what to do? The answer is another question. What do you want? You have to know what you want and hold that in your mind. Forget the how, if you try to work out the how you waste precious brain power. Let that most complex computer/mind that is existence handle the how. Your job is what. Decide what you want, hold it in your mind with a smile.
The smile reflects acceptance back into the consciousness. If you accept what you are thinking about it will stay longer and entice you to think of it again. The more you think of it in positive terms, the more that exact image will reflect out into reality and echo back from those around you. When the universe delivers however it is always through the path of least resistance.
I used these techniques again trying to get money and hopefully a car. Soon after a complete stranger walked by and just started talking to me as I sat in my yard with my wife. I thought he was a bit annoying but I was polite and my wife started telling him all about an accident I had. I was then irritated about what I saw as her oversharing personal information. Surprise of all surprises he started talking about all his injuries and then gave me his lawyers number. I dismissed it because I thought he was an oddball. The guy kept popping up every few weeks when my wife and I were outside asking if his attorney had got me anything yet. Finally after much prodding I called the attorney and with very little trouble, I got a check for 28,000 dollars. All of which went to my back bills, a better car, and bettering my home for my family. Least resistance at the time was sending me information and putting me in touch with the people that could get me what I was already owed. I never would have got it if that guy hadn't just popped into my front yard. I haven't seen him since.
Lastly, make sure you keep the spirit of your desire firm in your mind, not just the words.
