Lalas obviously loves soccer, and he loved working the World Cup. According to Lalas, he was excited to know that the buzz generated by the United States World Cup team resonated across the country and, hopefully, increased American interest in soccer. Now back in the U.S., Lalas has one year left on his contract with ESPN and will cover the Major League Soccer's All-Star game.
