Clinton Also Had a Dream that Day on Live TV

During a Martin Luther King Day event in Harlem former President Bill Clinton begins to nod off as a unaware speaker presents his speech. The video posted shows a minute and a half of Mr. Clinton seemingly bored or maybe just exhausted yet clearly falling asleep. Had Clinton not been sitting directly behind the podium this may have gone unnoticed. However, this being the case it is blatantly clear that he is in fact falling asleep. In Clinton's defense, campaigning with his wife, Hillary, probably takes a serious toll on his energy. Flying from city to city with different time zones it is probably exhausting trying to keep up with the jet lag.

This political faux pas is only one of many. The King of awkward moments would have to be Pres. George Bush Jr. Most recently when the Queen Elizabeth II visited the United States Bush thanked her for attending the Bicentennial Celebrations in 1776. That would make the Queen of Britain over 200 years old!! BBC news reports someone heard her mutter "Wrong year." Upon acknowledging his mistake he gave the Queen his ever so charming "oops" smile accompanied by a wink.

Former governor of Minnesota Jesse Ventura has a website dedicated his gaffes. The worst statement uttered by this remarkable human being was that if he were reincarnated, he would like to be reborn as a 38DD brassiere. When asked how he thinks the Columbine situations could have been prevented he explains that is teachers and students would have been armed then maybe so many would not have died. With all respect for the deceased, there were only 13 people that unfortunately were shot and killed. Imagine if everyone were armed and stray bullets were ricocheting off every wall, not such a good idea Mr. Ventura. What more could one expect from a former wrestler for the WWF who he went by the stage name "The Body."

Not only have US politicians made embarrassing mistakes but foreign politicians are just as guilty. A Flemish politician, Yves Leterme, who is running for Prime minister of Belgium, was asked to lead the singing of Belgium's national anthem during a celebration. International Herald Tribune reports that not only did he sing the wrong words; he began to sing the French national anthem. When questioned by the press about whether or not he knew he was singing the wrong national anthem he replied "Oh, I don't know."
