Former World Chess Champion Bobby Fischer DNA Results In: He's Not Daddy

In 2008, after chess genius Bobby Fischer died in Iceland, a lot of people came out of the woodwork looking for a claim to his $2 million dollar estate. Nine-year-old Jinky Young was one such person. However, some sources led officials to believe that Jinky was not Fischer's biological daughter, and so he was exhumed earlier this year for DNA testing.

The tests proved without a doubt that he was not in fact Jinky's father, which may cut her out of any inheritances. Whether Fischer himself was aware of this or not is unknown, but it's suspected by friends and family that he was playing the role of her father out of love. Among those grappling for a few of his dollars are Jinky's mother, Marilyn Young, tax authorities here in the United States, his alleged ex-wife Miyoko Watai, and two of Bobby's nephews.

In 2009, a court had ruled Miyoko Watai, the president of the Japanese Chess Association, out as a beneficiary because there did not appear to be adequate proof of an actual marriage ever having taken place. Sources indicate that Bobby was having relations with Young at the same time.
