Former NFL star Mark Ingram has finally been tackled after a month long run from charges of bank fraud and money laundering. The former New York Giant running back was sentenced to 7 years in prison and up to five years probation for bank fraud and money laundering after receiving money from law enforcement agents that he thought were drug dealers. Ingram was ordered to show up at a federal prison in Ashland, Kentucky on December 5, 2008 after being granted a delay of his sentence.

It is popularly believed that Ingram added to his delay in order to watch his son play his freshman year at Alabama. His son, also named Mark, is a star running back for Alabama. Marshal's tracked the elder Ingram to a hotel in Flint near his home in Grand Blanc, Michigan just before Bama's 31-17 loss against Utah in the Sugar Bowl.

Mark Ingram is most widely known for escaping the grasps of at least five Buffalo Bill defenders to attain a much needed first down for the New York Giants in Super Bowl XXV in 1991. He finished the game with five catches totaling 77 yards.

Ingram is set to appear in front of a judge on Monday in New York to face further charges spawning from his nearly month long run.
