Formula One 2010 Australian Grand Prix Odds to Win and Picks
Ferrari and Fernando Alonso Look to Continue Early Dominance
The Jimmie Johnson NASCAR effect.
That puts anyone that wants to bet the race in an advantageous spot. With the favorite at such a short money price, the Formula One series betting is taking on the same look as NASCAR. It is called the Jimmie Johnson effect in NASCAR and now in Formula One it will soon be called the Fernando Alonso effect.
Alonso can't win every race, so now is the time to find a better price on the Formula One circuit. Look for some drivers with experience at a longer price. Drivers such as Michael Schumacher at 15-1 and last years Formula One champ Jenson Button at 20-1.
Not bad prices on drivers that have won eight Formula One championships between them. Okay, Schumacher owns seven of them, minor point. Now look for another driver that has a history of being lucky, Robert Kubica at 75-1. Sure we can be safe and take a likely front runner such as former Formula One champ Lewis Hamilton but where is the fun in that?

Michael Schumacher 15-1.
Maybe this is just a stab at Michael Schumacher's former greatness. maybe he really does have a shot in his Mercedes. Anything can happen and if something shakes out and Schumacher is near the front when it does, he knows how to handle it. Schumacher knocked the rust of last week and he will be in contention this weekend in Australia. First choice Michael Schumacher 15-1.
Jenson Button 20-1.
Jenson Button won his first Formula One title last year and promptly switched teams. Button signed with Mercedes Benz McLaren to drive a McLaren as a teammate of Lewis Hamilton. The two form an all English team and the team is located in England also. Look for Button to also shake off some of the bad experience he had in Bahrain and come out on fire for this race. Okay maybe not exactly like that, for Button to win the leaders will have to have some misfortune. Second choice and small bet on Button at 20-1.
Robert Kubica 75-1.
Sounds crazy right? Kubica has nothing to lose and this can set up some gamble late in the race. possible strategy move regarding tires anything. I realize it is grasping at straws but last week My first choice in the NASCAR Nationwide race was Justin Allgaier at 60-1 and he won. What does that have to with Formula One? Absolutely nothing. Small bet on Kubica at 75-1.
Felipe Massa as a cover bet at 6-1.
Felipe Massa's price seems a bit long considering he was second best in the Formula One Bahrain Grand Prix last week. Understand that Massa is the second driver on Ferrari and no doubt will have to give way for teammate Fernando Alonso to win if it came down to it at the end of a race. Still Massa's comeback from a horrific head injury last year, when a spring off another car and hit him square in the head at full speed, is nothing short of miraculous. Place a wager on Massa at 6-1 as a cover bet.

Post a CommentThis one will be good but I think it is live 1AM your time. Racing isnt always they greaatest but the cars are a lot more high tech. They actually are hybrids this year.
I wish I knew more about Formula One Racing. Maybe it is a positive sign that just reading this article makes me want to place a (virtual, imaginary) bet.
