The first thing that caught my attention about Forsyth Pediatrics in Kernersville is that there are separate waiting areas for different patients. There is a sick area and a well area to prevent the spread of germs. There is also a separate room for teenagers to wait so that they do not have to sit with noisy, squirmy youngsters! Most importantly to us at the time was that Forsyth Pediatrics offered an entirely separate area for newborn babies-3months. We liked the fact they keep the newborns separate to try to avoid as many germs as possible before they receive those first critical sets of immunizations.
The office staff was very friendly and helpful when we called the office and when we visited. They took our insurance information and were very prompt in getting us in line for our appointment. Waiting to see the doctor in the waiting area was not very long and the nurses are fabulous. All of the nurses in the practice seem to truly care for their patients and have a passion for children. They are very calm, comforting and understanding of children's fears and needs.
As for the doctors in the practice, we love them. I can not say enough good things about the doctors at Forsyth Pediatrics in Kernersville. We actually see a Nurse Practitioner and she is fabulous. Both of our children seem to enjoy her alot. She takes her time with us and is extremely thorough in her examination, procedure and explanations. I have never walked out of the office not understanding something that she has told us.
The office is open Monday thru Friday for regularly scheduled appointments and they also offer a walk in clinic first thing each morning to handle emergencies that may have started later in the evening after the office has closed or early in the morning before they have opened. There is also a 24-hour nurse line that is available for emergencies after hours. They will put you in contact with an on-call doctor to assist you.
I feel that we have made a good choice for our children's caregivers. Forsyth Pediatrics has been everything we wanted and more in a doctor's office for our children.
