Fort Collins, Colorado, and the La Quinta Inn Make for a Great Vacation!

The La Quinta Inn at Fort Collins, Colorado, Makes the Trip Worthwhile!

If you find yourself traveling through Colorado, take a break at the La Quinta Inn located at 3709 East Mulberry Street, just off Interstate 25, and north of Denver. Staying at this location provides easy access to Denver, Colorado, and Cheyenne, Wyoming, without the hassles of being in the "big city". Fort Collins offers many restaurants and family entertainment areas, as well as being located near ski areas such as Estes Park and the Rocky Mountain National Park area. Fort Collins is a great family town with much to do, including but not limited to tours of the historic Fort Collins, the Discovery Science Center, Anheuser Busch Brewery Tour, 'Fort Fun', and many restaurants and shopping malls.

The La Quinta Inn in Fort Collins, Colorado has much to offer the traveler, whether alone, with family, or on business. This hotel has an indoor pool making swimming an all year around activity for the family. There is a fitness room and a business center. As mentioned above, this facility is located just off Interstate 25 making it easy to get in and out without having to fight the interstate traffic.

As with most La Quinta hotels, this location has been recently updated and the rooms are fresh, clean and comfortable offering new cozy bedding, flat screen TV's, and modern lobby/breakfast areas. The breakfast is an upgraded continental, (with that waffle machine I want at my house), assorted pastries, cereals, juices and fresh coffee. The "Brightside Breakfast" as it is known is a great way to start the day without adding the expense of eating breakfast elsewhere. If traveling for business or pleasure it pays to take a minute and "fuel" up at the breakfast area before heading out. Although breakfast is usually an economical meal to purchase in a restaurant, and as there are numerous eateries within a short distance, it still will save you a bunch of change if you eat at this hotel location. The breakfast area is clean and well stocked and provides an enjoyable, relaxing start to the day.

An area sometimes overlooked in hotel renovations is the bathroom. For some reason hotels seem to think that those old counter tops go unnoticed by travelers, but, not so at this La Quinta location! The bathrooms have new counter-tops, as well as new tubs and new toilets! This is so great when you travel as much as I do! There is nothing worse than cracked or stained grout! The times I have stayed at this hotel, (each time in a different room), the bathroom was new, clean, and fresh.

Each room has a coffee pot, hair dryer and high-speed Internet with desk space. The rooms are large and offer extra seating other than on the bed.

Two important facts need mentioning; this hotel is pet friendly, and the rates are very reasonable. During the week, this writer has paid $59.00 a night for a queen room, and on the weekends, the rate has been as reasonable as $65.00. It pays to check the La Quinta website (LQ.com) and book on line for the best rates.

It is nice to say that there does not seem to be a downside to this La Quinta location, in Fort Collins, Colorado.

Therefore, next time you are heading across Colorado make time to stop in and visit Fort Collins, a city with much to do. While there, take a welcome break and enjoy the La Quinta Inn, off Mulberry Street where you can relax, swim year-round, and enjoy everything this updated hotel has to offer. (My Pooch gives it a "paws up").
