Get ready for it the night before and make sure you don't park on Lafayette Avenue. Cars parked on Lafayette after midnight will be towed Saturday evening, November 6th in preparation for the next morning.
In addition to the hordes of spectators, the city's usual traffic patterns will be disrupted by runners, so plan to use the subway as throughout the day. More information on the ING New York City Marathon course and street closures can be found here.
