Apparently thieves like to ride the rails in and around the Fort Greene section of Brooklyn.Â

A 59-year-old man was robbed on October 5 after bumping into the pickpocket on the 3 train as it entered the Nevins Street station at about 7:15 PM.The wallet was stolen in the classic way with the thief bumping into the victim and lifting the wallet as he feigned an apology.

The next day an iPhone was taken from a 20-year-old woman as she approached the corner of Sixth Avenue and Atlantic. The crime took place at 1:15 PM and was done in a flash. As the victim made her way down the street the thief jumped out from behind and ran off with the phone.

Smart phones are in high demand by thieves these days as another iPhone was taken on October 10.This time, the 24-year-old victim was attempting to exit the 4 train at the Nevins Street station and the thief snatched it right from her hand at 12:15 AM running out the door.
