Fortune Cat and Bamboo Fish
Poem
Tony woke up early
I was already awake
Getting ready for my day
When all of a sudden
To my surpise, I was given
A basket filled with bubble gum
And plastic eggs
There was a little ceramic cat
From the neighborhood Chinese shop
I had been looking at from time to time
She was sitting in the basket along with
Bamboo Fish who is true to his name
He is a Koi fish who smiles with a bamboo
In his mouth
Fortune Cat brings good luck to those who
Own her, helping out with positive vibes
Bamboo Fish hangs out with the dying
Poinsetta that I received for Christmas
I can't seem to figure out if I water it too much
Or maybe I don't water it enough
Either way, it was a lovely Easter
That I will always remember
