Forty Six Weeks and Still Climbing the Charts

Lee Brice is a Country Music Superstar

Lee Brice might have thought he was doing well when he was signed to Curb Records by songwriter/producer Doug Johnson, but forty six weeks after the debut of his cd 'Love Like Crazy', everyone knows who Lee Brice is and how well he is doing in country music.

The Sumter, South Carolina native who has written hit songs for Garth Brooks and others recently tapped the top five on the Billboard Country Music Singles Chart with his single 'Love Like Crazy'. Its been a slow and steady climb for Lee who set therecord for the slowest rise to the top ten in the history of the charts, taking forty six weeks. The record was previously 40 weeks, shared by Gary Allan and Josh Gracin. It not only speaks to the staying power of Brice and his music, but also to the mass appeal of the song.

Following Brice on several different social networking sites, fans will quickly come to realize that this future superstar is just a down home country boy at heart. His musical influences range from country icons like Hank Jr. and Garth Brooks to rock icons like Tom Petty all the way to R&B favorites Whitney Houston, Brian Mcknight and Ray Charles. The boy's got some diverse interests.

He also a people guy, often telling his fans through social websites to find a certain member of his road crew before a show begins, and give him a secret password. The password gets you backstage for a meet and greet. Following most of his shows, Lee will hang around until everyone gets an autograph.

Well, here's is your chance to catch Lee Brice at one of the best places in Charleston to catch any kind of concert. The Music Farm will be hosting Lee Brice on Saturday, August 21. Tickets are only twelve bucks...can you believe that... on sale now at eTix or The Music Farm website.

Opening for Lee is Columbia native and Hot Sun Music recording artist Nick Norman, who will bring his own rockabilly, country style to the farm. Nick, who doesn't like to put himself in a music category, likes to describe his style as "...if Memphis music and Texas music had a baby..."

The show starts at 8 pm on Saturday. Get your tickets before they sell out and tell Lee that Richie sent ya.
