Found Treasure

C. Love
Taking a leisurely walk
An extraordinary box catches my glance
I step a little closer
Captivated, I take a chance

When taking a fleeting look
The trunk appears insignificant
Ogling a little closer
Immense value becomes evident

Enveloped within the chest
Everything I could ever need
For fulfillment and happiness
The answer to all my dreams

How had this not been discovered
Who continued to just walk by
How could anyone knowing its contents
Not drag it with them or even try

Was no one the least bit curious
To take a look inside and see
Or was this box concealed from others
Waiting to be opened specifically by me

I celebrate the fortune found
Treasure every morsel left behind
My life was forever changed when
With the chests contents I was intertwined
