The Washington Capitals will Advance to the Stanley Cup Finals
This is going to be the year for the Capitals and Alex Ovechkin to get over the proverbial hump.
Ovechkin is ready to prove the doubters wrong and that he can be the guy to bring a Stanley Cup back to Washington.
The only thing holding this team back from a trip to the Finals would be an injury to Ovechkin.
The Chicago Blackhawks will suffer from a Stanley Cup Hangover
While the Blackhawks broke their Stanley Cup drought last year, they are going to find it is hard to go back and repeat as champions.
The loss of Andrew Ladd is going to hurt the Blackhawks just as much as the very competitive Central division they are playing in.
The Detroit Red Wings are ready to make another run at a division title and are going to prove too much for the Stanley Cup Champions.
Buffalo Sabres Goalie Ryan Miller will be the Reason for a Division Title
Last year, Miller practically stood on his head for the Sabres as he recorded a 41 - 18 record and allowed only 2.22 goals per game.
He was one of the main reasons why the Sabres were able to earn the third see in the NHL playoff picture.
The Vezina Trophy winner will be primed and ready to go this 2010-11 NHL season as lead the Sabres to a consecutive division title.
The Phoenix Coyotes are the Sleeper Pick for the Stanley Cup Finals
Not many are expecting the Coyotes to be able to repeat the magic they had last year when they earned 50 wins and made a serious push in the playoff series with the Detroit Red Wings.
That would be a mistake. This team can make a run in the playoffs if Ilya Bryzgalov can have another outstanding season where he wins 40 plus games and posts a goals against around 2.30 and a save percentage at .920.
The wildcard for the Coyotes is going to be the performance of Scottie Upshall was on pace to have an incredible career season until tore his ACL last year.

Post a CommentGood picks. Being from Winnipeg I have a soft sport for the Phoenix Coyotes but I just can't see them getting that deep. Second round or maybe even conference finals though wouldn't surprise me.
