Four Celebrities with Movies Releasing in Time for Christmas

Merry About Their Movies and More

Rebecca Bardelli
Christmas is a time for giving and being merry. I can think of four celebrities that have every reason to be merry this holiday season. They all have movies releasing in time for Christmas, but that's not all.

Kate Winslet

Kate Winslet will be starring in "Carnage" alongside Jodie Foster. The movie is releasing to U.S. theaters on Dec. 16, 2011. Kate and her beau, Ned Rocknroll, just returned from a romantic getaway in Paris, and now she will have the opportunity for another expedition. She will have the chance to visit the Titanic with Richard Branson, who is Rocknroll's uncle and a billionaire. This is sure to put a smile on Winslet's face; I know it would add cheer to my Christmas season.

Robert Downey Jr.

Robert Downey Jr. is Sherlock Holmes in "Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows," which can be viewed in U.S. theaters on December 16. Robert recently took his pregnant wife, Susan (Levin) Downey, to Hawaii. The couple will welcome their new addition around Valentine's Day.

Scarlett Johansson

Scarlett Johansson will be in theaters two days before Christmas in the movie "We Bought a Zoo," also starring Matt Damon. While the movie itself looks to be gloomy, Scarlett should be filled with glee. In addition to her new movie, she will be appearing in a future edition of Interview Magazine. Johansson may be hiding her happiness behind black clothes and a straight face in Interview Magazine, but we know she is smiling on the inside. As if all this wasn't reason enough for ScarJo to smile, she will be directing "Summer Crossing."

Daniel Craig

Daniel Craig, who you may better know as James Bond, should be doubly delighted this Christmas since he has two movies releasing in time for the holiday. He will be starring in "The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo," which you can watch in the U.S. on December 21. If you didn't get enough, head back to the theater on December 23 to catch Craig in "The Adventures of TinTin." For those who prefer James Bond, I have good news for you too. "Skyfall" will be available to watch on Nov. 9, 2012, starring Craig as Bond and Judi Dench as M. Craig's personal life looks to be merry as well. Craig and his new wife, Rachel Weisz, will be celebrating their first Christmas together. Congratulations to the happy couple!

Hang up the mistletoe, go shopping and watch these four celebrities in their newest movies. Merry Christmas!

Good job...I'm looking forward to The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. Whoever plays Salander looks more like she was originally imagined by Larsson than the young lady in the original film.
