What better way to begin your 2008 Christmas by going to the theater and viewing this hilarious film about (4) four dysfunctional comical families! Kate and Brad are a non-married, but lovable couple that spend each year during their relationship trying to avoid their divorced parents and "weird" mixed up family members, which they have never talked about during their dating process.

Each year they go to these exotic vacation resorts on December 25th, simply because they want to avoid the hassle and confusion of going to their family members homes. Ironically, the fog at the airport has cancelled all air traffic coming in and out while the two of them are dressed in exoctic tropical island clothing on their usual Christmas vacation.

The local news crew decides to interview people around the airport beause of this unusual fog incident and reluctantly come arcross Brad and Kate for an interview. Brad (Vince Vaughn) "stumbles with words" during this TV interview because he knows his family is probably watching this local TV news. Kate (Reese Witherspoon) has the same problem with her family because they are most likely watching at the same time.

These four dysfunctional families immediately call the two of them and ask them to join them for the Christmas Holiday after watching them on local TV. Kate and Brad seem to have no choice but to "show up" for these four Christmases simply because they just don't want to hurt family members feelings that they have avoided and lied about over the years.

They travel to see Brad's family first and which is also compossed of his wrestling brothers Tim Mcgraw and actor Jon Favareau. They later reaveal that Brad's name is "Orlando" by birth, which their father Robert Duvall ironically named them by U.S. cities in order. Kate seemed to be upset about Brad never told her the truth about himself. These two brothers wrestle Brad to the ground over and over and Kate is simply "amazed" of this activity. (Tim Mcgraw, famous U.S. country singer, and Brad's brother seems to be a really big in this film and has gained a lot of weight).

The film continues with Hilarious celebrities such as Dwight Yoakum (also famous U.S. country singer) protraying the minister of the church that Mary Steenburgen is so much in love while showing her beautiful cleavage breast to on screen vievwers. (Dwight Yoakam looks different with hair on top of his head?) The minister convinces Kate and Brad to be Joseph and Mary of the baby Jesus, whereas Brad decides he should be a stage star and conflicts more problems in their dating relationship during this film because the church audience loved him so much, but at the same time pushed Kate to the side during his comical stage performance.

Robert Duvall looks the same as usual with his talented and photograhic film charm, Jon Voight also looks the same in his older age with photograhic charm for his age, Sissy Spacek still plays the same comical and lovable part of seducing younger men. Which she plays the part of Brad's mother and her sons best friend whom he fell in love and stated to Brad "She's really good in the sack!"

Reese Witherspoon seems to get more beautiful with age. She has finally grown into what I would call a "DIVA" with her beautiful on screen blue eyes, true Southern accent, and long legs and also slender beautiful body, which most hetorsexual men will find her charm and beauty regarding her long blonde hair is one of the most attractive atributes of this film called "Four Christmases" She will truly be rewarded in history as a beautiful and talented actress in film.

I would NOT recommend this comical Christmas film for smaller children below the age of 12, because of the adult complications of holiday events. This film has No nudity or Verbal abusive language, but the simple fact that children do not understand holiday events regarding family members and how complicated they can be sometimes.
