The Daytona Beach, Florida, area is full of diner and bistro spots that fill up the hungry stomachs of bikers, spring breakers, and racing fans. In Daytona Beach, Florida, diner and bistro establishments serve up some unique atmospheres and hearty food for fair prices. Here are four such Daytona Beach, Florida, area diner and bistro offerings to check out during your visit there:

The Dancing Avocado Kitchen

Begin your morning or take in a lunch at a couple of Daytona Beach's local bistros that will keep you in the "culture spirit". At the Dancing Avocado Kitchen, you'll find the city's best and most plentiful offerings of freshly squeezed juices like Carrot Apple Blend or Indian River OJ. This Daytona bistro uses old beer six-pack cartons to hold the condiments. The sugar holders contain Trivial Pursuit cards to help pass the time while waiting for your breakfast and lunch selections of omlets, burritos, quesadillas, and even tofu dishes. I've never been in a Florida Flower Child-themed bistro (full of groovy lookin' license plates, street signs, and tv décor from decades ago) that blared out modern country music! If you fancy American cultural kitsch, the Avocado will definitely fulfill your desires for as cheaply as a cup of freshly brewed coffee, which costs 1 5/8. Yes, this bistro uses fractions for prices instead of round numbers!

Christina's Beach Street Café

At Christina's Beach Street Café, you can savor breakfast and/or lunch in a former Art Deco styled drugstore, which still has "PRESCRIPTIONS" on the counter wall, adding to the atmosphere to this Daytona Beach, Florida, bistro. Besides coffees, teas, soups, and salads, this bistro serves up a nice variety of big portioned desserts, including homemade mounds of springy and perfectly browned Zucchini Bread.

Christina's Beach Street Café: 246 S. Beach St., Daytona Beach, Florida 32114. 386-258-7112.

The Daytona Diner

The Daytona Diner is a favorite gathering spot for breakfasts and lunches by not only judges and other Daytona area city workers, but by bikers, too. This dining establishment is behind the Harley Davidson dealership. You'll see biker artifacts inside this diner, which emanates a bustling, but a comforting and friendly atmosphere with attitude!

This diner is very renowned for it plate-sized pancakes (that span some ten inches in diameter) and for very reasonable prices. Nothing on either the breakfast or lunch menu currently exceeds $7.50, so families can grab a hearty breakfast or lunch for prices that won't break any budget.

The diner lunch menu brags of various meat dishes, big hot dogs, and "Daytona's Famed Burgers", which feature a half pound of charbroiled meat. One is called The Burnout, since it comes with chili, cheese, and grilled onions. Even vegetarians aren't left out because they serve a veggie burger selection called "The Springer". Try one of their "All Shook Up Shakes" selections like the Cappuccino Cooler.

The Daytona Diner (Behind the Harley Davidson dealership): 290 1/2 North Beach St., Daytona Beach, Florida 32114. 386-258-8488.

Peach Valley Café

You'll definitely get some down home and filling southern cookin' for breakfast or lunch. This diner serves up large portions of pancakes, omlets, and other egg dishes. They are well-known for their (Granny Smith) apple fritters that are served with brown sugar-scented strawberry yogurt. I enjoyed their large bowl of oatmeal which came with generous sides of raisins and butter to mix into the oatmeal.

For lunch, the Peach Valley Café serves up numerous offerings of salads, soups, sandwiches, wraps, and burgers. The latter four come even come with homemade coleslaw!

The Peach Valley Cafe and the Dancing Advocado are two places that I would try. Great review!
