Four Lakewood, Washington Police Officers Gunned Down by Cold-Hearted Killer with No Respect for Human Life

An armed black male in his 20s or 30s came to Forza Coffee Shop in Lakewood, Washington with the intent to kill the four officers. According to Ed Troyer a Pierce County Sheriff's Office spokesman the shooting was an ambush and the officers was targeted.

The police have no one in custody at this time.

The deceased police officers are three male officers and one female officer from Lakewood Police Department. The police officers were getting ready to start their shift.

This tragedy comes the last day of the Thanksgiving holiday by some crazy person without respect of human life. The officer's families will now have to deal with the death of their loved one without getting to say goodbye. Hopefully, the police will have a suspect in custody where he will pay for his crimes.

What is wrong with people in today's society? The killing of people are becoming a regular occurrence by deranged lunatics. The justice system needs to change their sentencing guidelines and start making sentences reflect the crimes. Most times its the victims that don't get any justice. Personally, I believe a life for life will be the only cure to help eliminate some the the nonsense that is happening in our society.

This same type of event occurred in Charlotte, North Carolina when officers Sean Clark and Jeff Shelton were killed responding to a call at an apartment complex on the night of March 31, 2007. However, the police arrested Demetrius Montgomery age 25 and charged him with murder. The criminal had a lengthy arrest record dating back to when he was 16.

Senseless killings damage a lot of families and leaves everyone with heartache. Criminals even when they're caught have more rights than the victims families. Yes, they may get life in prison, but is that really justice? I'm not sure you can ever have justice. Why? Because the criminal gets to sit in prison and cost taxpayers a lot of money over their life span. The victims families have to try to put the puzzle of their lives back together. Its a no-win situation.

I would like to give my condolences to the officers families in Lakewood, Washington. I understand condolences don't bring back your loved one or make the future any brighter. Hopefully, you can find comfort in God and ease the pain as the years pass.

For the cold-hearted criminal that committed the execution of four officers, I hope that someday you stand before your maker and try to justify your reasons.
