Shampoo -
Off brand shampoo can be found at almost any discount or grocery store that you visit. The amount of money that the off brand shampoo will save you will vary, but usually it will equal a few dollars. For example, Head & Shoulders will cost you about six dollars for an average size bottle of shampoo at Walmart.
But the off brand equate version of the shampoo will only cost about two to three dollars. The price may vary slightly in accordance with how large the bottle is. And the ingredients are almost exactly the same. One or two ingredients appear to be missing from the off brand shampoo, but you shouldn't notice any difference in the two brands.
Mouthwash -
This one is a little bit more scary. Nobody wants their teeth to rot out, but off brand mouthwash appears to be just as good as Listerine or other similar brands. The price difference? Again, it depends on the size of the bottle that you buy. For a large bottle of off brand mouthwash, you will usually save about three or four dollars. Not bad, huh?
Floss -
Off brand floss is not nearly as unnerving as the off brand mouthwash, but it may still spook some of you. But you shouldn't notice a difference in quality with the off brand floss. The pricing difference isn't as much as the shampoo or mouthwash, though. You can expect to save an average of fifty cents to a dollar with off brand floss.
Paper Towels -
In all honesty, if you like good strong paper towels than you may dislike off brand paper towels. These paper towels are often more flimsy and delicate, and they will not clean up as big of a spill as a brand like Bounty might. However, you will save a few dollars with off brand paper towels. So they're not a complete waste of time, but don't buy them if you have to clean up big messes often.
These off brand products will serve you well if you're looking to save some money on your next grocery trip. Just be aware that some of these products may not work quite as well as the others. But for the most part, you will not notice the difference.
