Four Places to Watch the World Cup in Dallas, Texas

Aaron Johnson
With the World Cup just around the corner, many may complain that Texas doesn't have the venues worthy of such an historic event as the World Cup. I beg to differ. Here's four World Cup venues that will more than satisfy your competitive nature as well as your stomachs.

Fox and Hound

All over the Metroplex, with locations in Dallas, Richardson, Lewisville, Arlington, and Fort Worth, the Fox and Hound is a perfect venue to go all out crazy for your World Cup team. I went to watch a football playoff game in which the Cowboys played the Vikings and let me tell you it was intense! If you're looking for a family-friendly or calm venue in which to watch, then Fox and Hound may not be for you.

Churchill's Pub

Though located thirty-five minutes northeast of Dallas, Churchill's is a prime venue to watch. Reviews say that Churchill's not only gives off an "authentic pub atmosphere" with darts, fish n chips, and Scottish eggs, but also has a friendly service staff that will meet your every need.

Trinity Hall

Any Ireland natives out there? Then Trinity Hall is the place for you. Located on Mockingbird Lane in Dallas, Trinity Hall is the only one of its kind. With a true Irish breakfast and even fish n' chips prominent on the menu as well as a vast variety of the best drinks around, Trinity Hall truly is an Irish Pub. Trinity Hall has also promised to open their doors early, in accordance with game times, regardless of the hour. So if there is a match at 7:00am you are afraid of missing, hit up Trinity Hall and they have guaranteed their doors will be open.

Buffalo Wild Wings

Now some may say Buffalo Wild Wings is overrated in the hype they give themselves about being one of the best places to watch sports, but, to be fair, they truly are a great venue. With two locations in Dallas: one off Beltline and the other on Frankford, as well as places in Carrollton, Garland, and Mesquite, find the one nearest you and enjoy some great wings, great company, and dozens of TVs displaying the latest action.

You can also catch the World Cup Games at the Holy Grail Pub in Plano. They have a big screen and will be open every day during the games at 8:30 a.m.

Good choices. I was never too struck with Buffalo Wild Wings (BW3) but anywhere with the right atmosphere and tv screens should be good - and with good beer and food of course :)
