Your child's health is very important. A healthy life style is started early in life, and it is your responsibility as the parent to encourage a good and healthy life style. Here are a few quick steps to ensure your child will be healthy and lose any fat they may have.

1)Don't blame the world for your child's obesity. Many parents will just write off an over weight child by saying it's baby fat and that they will grow out of it. While this can be true, it doesn't mean you should ignore your child's well being. You are responsible for your child's health, you must take time to and energy to help get them on the right track. Making excuses isn't the right method. It also means you can't lay the blame on television, video games, or the fast food industry. No one is forcing you or your child to spend so much of your life with these things in your life, you must take personal responsibility and instill the same into your child.

2)Encourage active play. Being active is very important for weight loss. Yes it is simple to let your child watch television or play video games, but that doesn't help with their weight. You need to make sure they are active. Go out and play with them, or talk them into going outside and playing with their friends. Take them for walks, play catch, or throw play around with their pet. If they are interested sign them up for a little league sport. Anything that gets your child moving and their blood moving is important.

3) Make sure your child eats breakfast. Life is hectic, not only for you but also your child. But you must remember that both of you must eat each meal in the day, especially breakfast. Eating a meal in the morning to start the day kicks your child's metabolism into gear so they will be able to burn the food they eat into energy properly. It also gives them energy for the day so they can be attentive for school and active on days full of play.

4)Eat healthily. Your child will learn your habits, if you want them to eat healthy, you need to eat healthy. That means drink water, eat fruits and vegetables, and don't eat tons of sweets. You are your child's role model, you must act like one. Keep healthy food in the fridge and cupboards. Make sure that both you and your child see lots of food that is good for you around. Make sure to get more of the foods that you both enjoy, if they say they like grapes, keep grapes stocked. It seems basic but many parents don't seem to follow this and just believe their children should eat well and not take care of themselves.

If you follow these four simple guidelines, your child can form a healthy habit and lose weight. They will be able to live healthier lives and you will as well. These aren't hard things to pull off and any parent can do them.
