Four Tips for Purchasing a New Paintball Gun

John Smith
Choosing the right paintball gun is an essential component of playing paintball. Paintball markers are remarkable devices that allow you to play a sport that continues to grow everyday. Additionally, it can be played without hurting anyone due to the safety restrictions that are built into the rules. There are hundreds of sizes, shapes, and colors of paintball markers. Paintball itself is a popular sport both among young and old and advanced players to beginners. Today paintball markers are used in the sport itself professionally, used in home recreational games, and even used by some law enforcement agencies to practice techniques they wouldn't be able to do without someone getting hurt.

There are a number of different styles of paintball markers. There are automatic guns and semi automatic as well as pump paintball markers. Automatic guns shoot as many balls as they can with you just holding down the trigger. Semi automatic only shoots a certain amount every time you pull the trigger. Pump paintball markers, you have to pump a mechanism after each ball that is shot.

Another thing you should consider is color. This is quite simple, if you plan on playing mostly woods games, than you'll want a dark colored gun. If you would like to play indoors mostly, than you will need a bright shiny gun or a dark colored whichever you really prefer.

Another thing that you should consider is electronic or not. Most guns are not fully electronic however; there are paintball markers on the market today that require you to recharge the battery in them before your next game. If you don't want to hassle with batteries, make sure your gun isn't electronic.

Additionally, you should also consider the size of the paintball gun. If you plan on using a nitrogen tank or big co2 tank, your paintball marker should be well balanced gravitationally and small close to your arm because the tank you use will weigh you down.

The last thing to consider when buying a paintball marker is price. You want to buy a gun that fits your own budget depending on how much you play. If you play a lot, or plan to, buy you can buy a more expensive gun. If not, you can settle for the ordinary Wal-Mart off the shelf gun.
