Don't Fear Rejection
Freelance Writers often are afraid of rejection from editors in the writing world. Rejection is a part of the writing world. Stephen King got rejection letters before he finally sold his first book. Nobody on this earth doesn't get rejection letters of some sort. Rejection technically means that you are a step closer to being published.
Effort
You have to make the effort in order to see the results. You can not sit on your behind all day without a single word written then wonder why you aren't making money. You have to produce content each day in order to get close to being successful. You must treat writing as a business since it is not a hobby when you are a serious writer.
Twelve Hour Schedule
I'm not joking about the twelve hour schedule that you need to have each day. You need to be at your desk by 6:00am every morning in order to be successful. You will have plenty of time to write over ten articles each day from 6:00am to 6:00pm each day during the week. If you fail to meet your weekly quota then make sure to work on the weekends as well.
Send Off Samples to Writing Gigs
Make sure to send off samples of your writing clips to writing gigs each day. You will make progress each day when you apply for writing gigs each day. You want to show off your previous writing clips that you are an expert in the field to future companies. You may want to start writing for content sites that require you to write keyword articles to make a few dollars here and there each week. You can find writing gigs online that you just need to send off a few emails along with a writing resume and links to already published material.
