Fourth of July Fireworks 2010, Portland, Oregon and Vancouver Washington
Two Great Fireworks Displays in the Metro Area of Portland Oregon
Fort Vancouver has decided to once again provide the great city of Portland, Oregon with one of the greatest Fourth of July firework displays. However, this year the pyrotechnics will not be set off from atop the waters of the Columbia River but from the actual Fort. Fort Vancouver is located in Vancouver, Washington just across the Columbia River from Portland. Visitors to Fort Vancouver will need to be in the park early as seating is on a first come first serve basis. Most visitors who wish a front row seat to the Fourth of July fireworks arrive and bring along picnic lunches and soft drinks. Be sure to bring lots of water also as the forecast is for hot weather. Fort Vancouver Fourth of July Fireworks also comes with live music from noon till the beginning of the fireworks. Admission for 2010 is $7.00 for adults and under 13 years old is $5.00. This year Fort Vancouver is providing a prime viewing area for those interested in a close view of the greatest fireworks this side of the Mississippi for $25.00 age 6 to 20 and over 21 $50.00 per person.
Tom McCall Waterfront Park will also be a crowded place this 2010 Fourth of July with their yearly fireworks performance on the Willamette River. Along with the yearly Fourth of July Fireworks visitors can also enjoy the Tom McCall Waterfront Blues Festival, which runs from July 2 to July 5 2010. Enjoy the Fourth of July and help out the Oregon Food Bank as the Blues Festival is operated by the Oregon Food Bank and all proceeds from the Blues Festival will go to the Oregon Food Bank. Once you have enjoyed all that the Oregon Blues Festival has to offer spend the remainder of the evening right along the Willamette and enjoy this years Fourth of July Fireworks.
There are many areas along the Columbia and Willamette where viewers can enjoy the fireworks this Fourth of July from both Fort Vancouver and Tom McCall Waterfront Park but in order to view fireworks from these cost free areas visitors will need to arrive early, park in designated parking and please follow all of the City and States laws when it comes to these two Fireworks events so that others who wish to enjoy them will be able too.

Great article and photo!
Gotta love fireworks!
I love fireworks, too. I'm so glad communities still consider it worth doing with the financial issues they have.
I'm so glad to hear that the Fort Vancouver fireworks are returning this year!
