Fourth of July Fun in Conroe, Texas
FREE Concerts
Kicking off the celebrations on July 3, Conroe and the Woodlands both have concerts. The Outlets at Conroe, is hosting a concert by The Cody Johnson Band. The Outlets at Conroe will also have an after- dark sale during the concert. The Concert is FREE and starts after dark.
In The Woodlands, there is another FREE concert at the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion. The Star Spangled Salute by the Houston Symphony. They will be playing a selection of American classics, sing-a-longs and cannon accompanied version of Tchaikovsky's "1812 Overture". The gates open at 6:30 p.m. and the show starts at 8 p.m.

Independence Day Music Fest and Parade
Heritage Park 500 Collins St. Conroe, TX 77301
Saturday, July 4, 2009 in Downtown Conroe's Heritage Park celebrates Independence Day the American way. FREE festival 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. enjoy a parade downtown, live music, great food and lots of fun. Bring the family and the lawn chairs then head over to the lake for fireworks.
12th Annual Red Hot and Blue Festival and Fireworks Extravaganza
Town Green Park 2099 Lake Robbins Dr, the Woodlands, TX 77380
Celebrate America's birthday on July 4th from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. featuring a hot dog eating contest and a watermelon eating contest, jewelry making activities, rock climbing walls, and much more. Live music, food and fireworks abound in this annual festival. Fireworks start at dusk. Parking is available for $5.
Fireworks
Professional fireworks displays start at dusk at both the Walden and Seven Coves subdivisions over the lake. Currently there is a ban on aerial fireworks in the county because of the drought conditions, but professional fireworks displays are still allowed. If you have any questions about which fireworks are not allowed, please contact Montgomery County Fire Marshal's Office at 936-538-8288 or email them at mcfmo@mctx.org.

I worked at Lake Conroe Exxon on the night of the 4th. I remember the fantastic fireworks going up over Lake Conroe. I could see them from the store. It was cool.
