Fourth of July March of the Teddy Bears (children's Poem)

Parade time - and all the teddy bears begin to gather.
Laughing and shouting and waving her flag,
Betty Bear runs happily in the bright, sunny weather.
"Hurry, Betty," says her mom, "There's no time to lag."

So she practises her marching, hut, one, two, three...
Until her mom puts her in her toy wagon,
Where she's so proud to be in this parade for the land of the free,
(While Papa manages to quickly fix the wheel that was draggin'.)

Suddenly there comes the booms from the drum
So loud they sound like shots from a gun,
And the Teddy Bears begin to march,
(Surprised to find their throats are parched!)

A cloud of music rises from trumpets and horns
And begins to thrill each heart and fill the air
On this glorious day, on this wonderful morn,
On this the day of the Parade of the Teddy Bears!
