Fourth of July Do It Yourself Centerpiece Ideas: Vases

Large, clear glass vases can serve as a bigger Fourth of July centerpiece. Fill the vases with marbles - red, white, blue, or clear. These can be all one color, or layered. Put a few inches in the bottom of the vase. Now, you can add any decorations that you want - patriotic flags, pinwheels in patriotic colors, etc. You can have your kids make small flags on index cards and tape them to bamboo skewers or small dowels and add them to the vase. Be creative and have fun. Tie red, white and blue ribbons around the vases for an added touch.

Fourth of July Do It Yourself Centerpiece Ideas: Flowers

Many florists create Fourth of July centerpieces. Take a look at their creations for some Fourth of July ideas of your own. If you plan ahead, you may be able to visit a local Farmer's Market, where you are sure to find a variety of red, white and blue flowers at bargain prices. Trim the stalks and arrange them. You can use one of your decorated vases to fill with flowers. Add red, white and blue marbles to the bottom of the vases, add ribbons, or just add some flags to the arrangement.

The Fourth of July is an easy holiday to decorate for. Be creative and make your own centerpieces to impress your guests and make your day more enjoyable.
