Fracking, Japan's Earthquake and Progressive Political Opportunism

Snidely Whiplash
First, props to my AC pal Anthony Ventre. Read his work here. Anthony is a former news reporting professional who artfully presents current events and local noteworthy news for the reading public. Reading his piece "Academy Award Nominated Film 'Gasland' Stirs Pocono Controversy" mentioned "fracking" and I used that as the impetus for this piece. Thanks Anthony. And props to Limbaugh for being the first I heard to ridicule the lefties for ever even daring to suggest fracking responsible for the Japanese quake.

Now, do we know what "fracking" is? The short explanation is drilling holes and forcing under high pressure air or fluids into the holes to force out whatever is hiding locked in the rock formations. For an exact scientific explanation, go here and read about "Hydraulic Fracturing." It is currently used to release shale oil locked in the Bakken Reserve in the Dakotas. Oh, that would be the "economically booming" Dakotas, ya know. How are the Dakota's booming in the midst of recession? Simple. They refuse to listen to the enviro nutty left and they are fracking for oil. AMAZING!

I wonder did any of the well read public hear the left briefly flirted with the concept that fracking in the Dakotas may have contributed to the Japanese super quake? This foolish speculation was quickly shot down by more rational voices. There is also speculation that fracking in the Dakotas may be causing frequent small temblors in Arkansas, although that is not proven either.

I have an answer to all of this. Why don't we do all ourselves a favor, and especially one for the environut lefties and just frack them? What say we drill holes in them, insert hoses that inject high pressure fluids and air to then force out the stupid that is lodged so deeply in their brains? Anyone for this concept?

What can be said about people who are so dead set against any form of American energy independence? If it's really a concern for the planet isn't Brazilian oil drilling bad too? What of all those little nations that are now operating oil rigs in the Gulf of Mexico? If there's a spill I assume any potential environmental issue will not effect the US shores? Upon what logic do these people base their talking points and issues? I am pretty sure the US has just about the world's strictest oil drilling guidelines and regulations, so it would seem we would most safely do the drilling, and especially that of drilling in our own "home waters."

To hear some of these folks talking points it's as if they want us to go back 500 years and live without the modern things that make Western life possible. It makes no rational sense whatsoever. So to the lefties...I say FRACK 'EM if they can't take a joke! Oh, and I guess here's where I add "DRILL BABY, DRILL!"

I'm baaa-aack! And writing a piece on fraa-aack. Shale fracking, that is. You wouldn't be surprised, Whippy, on the misinformation out there about fracking. Read my piece, "Good News from the Rocks" and realize all the good that that good clean energy resource--gas--can bring to the world if we only let it. The environmentalists aren't letting it, preferring to rob our economies--local and national--of this growing energy resource and throwing sand in the gears of countries wanting to produce their own. It's sickening.

Fracking caused the earthquake in Japan just like global warming did. (That's a tongue-in-cheek comment, Progressives.) It's plain to see that the Left takes any concept they're opposed to and attributes blame for natural disasters to it. The fact is, they don't know what they're talking about! Particularly on science and technology issues.

Hey, thanks for the shout out and link back. Next thing will happen is O. establishes a no-fly zone over the oil and gas fields.

I agree frack all of them, they would look better with holes drilled in them anyway
