Fragment: 5:00 PM - Noah's Rains;

Bones is in the midst
of the second coming
of Noah's flood. Two days?
Three? They begin to bleed
together like so many rivulets
running down the walls
of his small moldering cottage,
each drop - separate;
each drop - unique;
each drop - joining like lonely
hearts running down the hill
through fern and bramble
to reach the winter stream
bound for the port, bound
in turn for the sound, bound
in turn for the great pacific.

Their love will carry them
to unknown shores secure, needing,
only in their being -
their separated oneness.
