Fragment II: The Darkling's Benediction

These then
are my wishes five
for thee and for thine -
for those known, and not
knowable, for those present,
and to them that wander
the night yet:

That the lamp of Knowledge
light your path;

A sword of Truth
and shield of Honor
to defend thee always;

Integrity's armor - inseparable
from the flesh;

And Love
to be your companion
evermore -

And another,
that we meet again
to renew this prayer
one year from tonight.
