The 1st game was Megaman Legends or Megaman 64 depending on if you played it on the N64 or the PS1. I liked the cut scenes and the acting in it. The story is like the land is filled with endless water and it's mainly islands. Megaman is a digger but knows nothing of his past and who he is. They land on an island called Kattelox Island, a mysterious and rather large island. Introduced is Roll, whom is Megaman's child hood friend and probably could say close friend to say the least. She obviously really cares for him and helps him in missions. There is also Roll's grandfather so this is different from the robot Roll in the Megaman classic series as she is a human and has a grandfather. Barrell is an experienced digger.
Some of the other characters that are main characters play a roll like the Bonne family in particular Teasel and his younger sister Tron. Tron however has a crush on Megaman when they meet up for the 1st time. It's as if she is starts to like him but hides it.
While I did enjoy the game, I really have not played in a while. This game has a save opportunity where you go up to the Monkey named Data and save your game. It really helps when going far in a quest. It has a little clock when pausing to indicate how long you've been playing exactly. That was different and not bad at all. The main villain, which later is discovered as Megaman Juno or just call it simply Juno. It is strange that he has the name Megaman 1st then Juno. I have no origin on which this is but he thinks he controls who lives and who dies.
After beating him, a major cut scene comes along after saying good-bye to everyone and it's the end of the game. There are differences between the N64 and PS1 versions though. The graphics are slightly different though in my opinion not too noticeable. From playing this one on the N64, there are no load times but there are for the PS1 due to the cartridge, CD difference. Those are the only differences I've actually noticed but nothing too major in my opinion.
Megaman Legends 2 was also the last Megaman Legends game made to date. Now I haven't had a chance to go far in this game but perhaps I will some other time. What I do know however is based on the ending I've seen, there is a cliffhanger leaving the big mystery as to what happened to Megaman. Did he ever survive or is he stuck on the moon? Unfortunately, at this time no one really knows since there hasn't been a Megaman Legends 3. If that game were to ever be made, I would hope that it would tie the loose ends and if it's the final game resolve everything and then that's it. Legends 2 weren't that bad of a game but it was only made for PS2. I don't know if there are plans to remake the Legends games at all. I don't think it would be a bad idea though.
Stay tuned for Part 4 as the next series to be discussed to be Megaman Battle Network.
