Franco's Pizzeria of Ocean City Maryland does not have a nicely decorated luxurious look but do not be deceived by looks. The Italian food here is awesome and you would really enjoy it. It is owned and operated by locals and it is absolutely the best pizza served on the boardwalk in Ocean City. The pizza slice cost about $2.80 (Cheese Pizza) and the whole 14" cheese pizza cost about $13.95. The 18" cheese pizza cost about $17.85. The cost of extra pizza toppings is about $2.00/topping. Franco's Pizzeria menu prices are reasonable considering the surrounding restaurants. The cooks and the wait staff at Franco's Pizzeria were friendly and made you feel like you were eating at a very warm family restaurant. Franco's Pizzeria of Ocean City MD also serves good ice cream and soft serve. Although one has to remember that they are a small restaurant and so they try to provide wide varieties of ice cream but may not have every flavor as stocking every ice cream is difficult for family owned restaurant. We had tried different flavors of the one scoop hard ice cream and it was delicious. We had a nice time with an 18" pizza and ice cream.
There were very few negatives about the Franco's Pizzeria if any at all. If you are looking for a luxurious or nice place to have dinner then this is not the place for you. The decoration is absolutely minimal and the tables are old. There were some items on the ice cream menu but were not available. I did not have much problem with that but if you are picky about it then think twice. The people working at the restaurants are good people and they try hard in making your dining experience nice one. The problem with this restaurant is that I did not find any advertisement at any place in the city. There were no online reviews for the location when we had visited. We were told about this restaurant through word of mouth.
In short this restaurant serves the best pizza in Ocean City and there is no question about it. The location of the restaurant is in the prime location. But because of some decorations flaws and because of how it appears people do not give this restaurant another look. I feel like this restaurant should be appreciated and given its rightful place on the boardwalk.
