Frank Lloyd Wright's iconic architectural masterpiece, Fallingwater House in Mill Run, Pennsylvania, will soon be allowing visitors to spend a little more time admiring its unique architecture and surroundings. Bear Run Preserve, which is the location of the famous Fallingwater House, is now accepting reservations for groups of 8 people to spend two nights on the property and enjoy a mentally - even spiritually - stimulating experience exploring the 1936 house and its 5,000 acres of natural surroundings.

Overnight Stays at the Fallingwater House

The newly announced 3-day plan, called Insight Onsite at Fallingwater allows groups of 8 people to spend two nights on the property. Over the course of 3 days, guests will dine on site, tour the house, explore the property, and engage in discussions about the property, its architect, and the beautiful site on which Wright's stunning house sits.

Insight Onsite at Fallingwater will cost guests $1595 for single occupancy and $1195 for double occupancy. The plan includes an organized tour, a chance to explore Fallingwater House at one's own leisure, dinner with the Fallingwater House director and curator, and more.

As of press time, there are 3 dates scheduled for 2010: May 11, June 10, and September 7. These dates may change, or others may be added.

About Fallingwater House

Wright designed Fallingwater House for Liliane and Edgar Kaufmann. Edgar Kaufmann owned department stores in nearby Pittsburgh. Fallingwater House is perhaps best known for its cantilevered construction, which allows parts of the house to literally hang over a creek; the house is situated immediately adjacent and above a small, serene waterfall.

Fallingwater House has long been a favorite stop among tourists and architectural connoisseurs alike. Fallingwater House has undergone renovation in recent years, with much effort going into preserving the house's aging infrastructure.
