Frankie and LuLu's First Holiday Post

Yes, I Am a Little Crazy but Deal with It

Donna Cavanagh
Since this weekend kicks off the holiday season, my dogs thought they would write a poem to help you begin this hectic time with a smile. As smart as my canines are, they cannot compose their own music, so they ask that you sing their "first" holiday post to the tune of Mr. Sandman. They hope you enjoy their work. I am willing to give them my space on AC in support of their creativity, but in no way am I starting a new writing account just for them. They are a bit ticked off at me for my selfishness in this regard, but they will get over it. The big black moose dog is Frankie (Francesca) and the little scared looking mutt is LuLu. You would be scared too if you had to deal with Frankie all Day!

(Please sing to the tune of
Mr. Sandman)

Mr. Santa,
Send us some treats
Make them rawhide and maybe some sweets
Some beef flavor or maybe some liver
A little chicken -- with delight we'll shiver

Mr. Santa.
We're wagging our tails
Barking with joy and clicking our nails
We're so excited for the Christmas season
Trying to behave for a very good reason.

Mr. Santa,
We have all been so good
Watching our homes and the neighborhood
If you could drop us a toy or new collar
We promise we won't bark, growl or holler.

That's all we have for now. It takes energy to think up lyrics. Thanks for reading and may Santa Paws Hear our Pleas!! Time for our nap! Happy Thanksgiving all!
