The Booster Club is a non profit organization that is similar to a PTA. The Booster Club works hard to make a difference for the students at Franklin by way of hosting fun events and providing things to the school that they have a hard time getting with their budget (supplies, helping pay for field trips, etc).
At the 9/23 meeting, the Booster Club will go over positions that are available in the club, what we hope to do for this school year as well as upcoming fundraisers. One of the fundraisers that is in the immediate future is our Little Feet's Repeats fundraiser. Our school is signed up with Little Feet's Repeats and we need YOUR help! We need donations of used but good condition children's items such as clothing, books, toys, movies ETC. Anything for a kid from infant to teen. The Booster Club gets the items ready and our school will receive 72% of what we sell so our earning possibilities are endless, we just need the donations to make it work. We are accepting donations until 10/15. You can send items with your child to school, drop them off yourself at the school or arrange for a pickup or get an address for a drop off location for several or large items. More information will be sent home with your child so be on the lookout for a flyer soon.
We will also discuss the success of Open House. A lot of money was raised from the opportunity drawing and Back to School grams as well as some pizza and drink sales.
There is a $5 dollar membership fee but this covers your ENTIRE family so if you have friends, aunts, uncles that play a part in your child's life activity, they are included on the family membership. Paying the membership fee allows you to get a vote.
We need you! You can help us make the school better by simply offering your ideas and help.
The Booster Club meeting is on 9/23 at 6:30 PM and is scheduled to be held in the cafeteria.
If you don't have childcare, bring your kids with you. It is important that everyone is included. We just ask that you try to bring something for your child to do while the meeting is going on (a book to read, pad to draw on, etc).
