Frank's Diner is a must visit if you are in or around the Kenosha area. Frank's is located near the Kenosha lake front. Established in 1926, Frank's Diner was started by Anthony Franks. He purchased the building out of a magazine for $7500.00 and $325.00 in shipping charges. In 1935 a dining room was added, and in the 1940's, a larger Kitchen was added. Frank's Diner was operated by the Frank's family until 2001. The current owner and operator's are Lynn Groleau and Chris Schwartz.

Famous Eats at Frank's Diner
When you sit down at the counter of Frank's Diner, which you must do, you will see some interesting things being made! Frank's Diner is known for their famous "Garbage Plate". The Garbage Plate is a combination of Eggs, Hash browns, green peppers, hot peppers, onions, Jalapeno peppers, your choice of meat (ham, bacon, or sausage) or all veggie (zucchini, mushrooms, tomatoes, onion, green peppers and jalapeno peppers) served with a side of toast. The full Garbage Plate is made with 5 eggs and the ½ garbage plate is served with 3 eggs. You will definitely not leave hungry after eating a Garbage Plate!
Another famous eat at Frank's Diner is their homemade bread. It's a beautiful braided, white bread that is to die for! If you get a sandwich or toast during your visit, you must try it!
Frank's Diner has a full menu of breakfast and lunch items. Some of the breakfast items include: signature omelet's and breakfast sandwiches, French toast made with homemade bread, and fresh buttermilk pancakes! Don't forget to top off your breakfast with a Bloody Mary, Screwdriver, or Mimosa!
You can't go wrong eating lunch items at Frank's Diner either! Lunch items featured on a daily basis include: the Spam Sandwich, Bleu Schu Burger, Fried Egg Sandwich, incredible Grilled Cheese sandwiches, and homemade soups like the Hungarian Mushroom and Hearty Baked Chili!

One of the main reasons you have to visit Frank's Diner is the atmosphere. It's so neat to watch Chris and Lynn cook behind the counter! You feel like part of the action! It takes a little extra time to get your food, but you know it is made with love and you get to see most of it get made right in front of you! It's hard to explain what it's like, you'll just have to visit Frank's Diner yourself!
